By accessing or using CoderCoach ("the platform," "the Service"), operated by Brookscroft Systems ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
CoderCoach is an educational platform. All content, AI-generated guidance, coding examples, clinical scenarios, and assessments are provided for educational and training purposes only. The Service does not constitute professional coding advice, clinical decision support, or regulatory guidance. You remain solely responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of any coding decisions made in a clinical or administrative setting.
The platform uses the following coding standards under licence or public-domain terms:
This product is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by CIHI, the WHO, or any other standards body, and none of these organisations have reviewed or approved the platform's content or functionality. For full attribution details see the Standards Attribution page.
Completion of any assessment, activity, or module on CoderCoach does not confer any professional certification, accreditation, or credential recognised by CIHI, the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA), any provincial licensing body, or any other regulatory authority. This platform is not affiliated with or approved by CHIMA. Activity on this platform does not count towards CHIMA Continuing Education credits unless explicitly arranged under a separate institutional agreement.
The platform uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to generate coding guidance. AI systems can make errors. AI-generated answers are grounded in licensed coding standard content through retrieval-augmented generation, but this does not guarantee accuracy. Always verify coding guidance against the official standards for your jurisdiction and fiscal year. The platform does not train AI models on your inputs.
You must not enter real patient names, health card numbers, personal health information (PHI), or any data that could identify a real patient. All case scenarios must be fictional or properly de-identified. The platform is not designed to process personal health information and must not be used as such.
Access to the platform is provided via magic-link email authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. Accounts are non-transferable. Brookscroft Systems reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used inappropriately.
The CoderCoach platform software, design, and original content are the property of Brookscroft Systems. Coding standard content is owned by the respective licensor (CIHI, WHO, CMS/NCHS) and used under the licences described above. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from licensed coding standard content accessed through this platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Brookscroft Systems disclaims all liability for any loss, harm, or damages arising from reliance on platform content, including AI-generated coding guidance, assessment results, or standards reference material. Use of this platform is at your own risk.
We may update these Terms at any time. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Questions about these Terms may be directed to Brookscroft Systems at brookscroft.systems/contact.
